Message	Just check the ptu sub harness for cracks. One time I did have a ptu just fry when I was doing a timing belt. Figured it was because I didn't unhook the battery. Now I disconnect it when I have to mess with the ptu at all. Also kinda sounds like a really bad vacuum leak.... Just check and recheck and let us know.
